New Here?

Making a change in our lives is usually challenging if not really difficult.  If you are considering attending Blue Ridge for the first time, this is a change for you.  We want to help insure that you have as much good information about us as possible.

We will be thrilled to meet you and I think you will see why many people say we are the warmest and friendliest church they’ve ever experienced. Most folks come casually dressed.  The worship style is contemporary and refreshingly spontaneous and genuine. Most people stand during the singing portion of our service, but you are very much free to sit or stand.

We have a “children’s ministry moment” just after the singing portion of our service. After that point children age 6 and below can be dismissed to go to age appropriate “Sermon Time Children’s Ministry” (children’s church).  More info about this can be found here

I hope we get to meet you soon. I think you will be blown away by the warmth of our people… and the genuineness of our faith and worship.

Yours truly,

The BRCC Elders

Sunday Mornings

Sunday School- 9:30 to 10:15 AM

We offer Sunday school classes for all ages through 12th grade from 9:30 to 10:15 each Sunday in September through May. These classes are age appropriate and meet in the classrooms in the education building. The rooms are marked and there is a information placard at both ends of the education building, that gives the room numbers for the various ages.

Connections Cafe’- 9:30 to 10:15 AM

Connections Cafe hospitality time happens from 9:30-10:15am each Sunday in September through May. Come enjoy a cup of coffee and a light breakfast snack in our fellowship hall. This is a great place to meet some new people or to hang out with friends. Some people do discipleship groups at this time as well. Periodic adult classes are offered during this time as well.

Sunday Worship Service- 9:30am

Praise and Worship followed by Teaching

Our worship service starts promptly at 10:30am each Sunday and we finish around noon. We offer a contemporary praise and worship service. It’s not all scripted around here…as we seek to be led by the Spirit in our corporate times of worship.

We have designed our service to be flexible but not chaotic. We give God room to lead in order that he may speak to our hearts in a meaningful way. Therefore, we are not rigidly committed to the published order of service. As we remain sensitive to the Spirit we may extend our time of praise and worship, or stop the service in midstream to give the congregation an opportunity to come forward and receive prayer, or let the congregation share experiences of how the Lord is working in their lives.

Although we are a conservative congregation theologically, our worship time would be characterized as a more expressive corporate experience. So, it is not unusual to see people within the congregation raise their hands, clap, kneel or speak out loud as the Lord leads them. The result is a beautiful expression of worship that we believe blesses God’s heart and encourages His people.
